Dr. Ayan Goswami

Ayan Goswami, DPM

Dr. Goswami graduated from medical school located in New York City and obtained his medical degree from New York College of Podiatric Medicine (NYCPM). Upon graduation, he completed his residency program in reconstructive rearfoot surgery and medicine at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center, West Islip, New York.   Upon completion of his 3 years surgical and medical residency program, Dr. Goswami further extended his training by obtaining a fellowship with The American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS) in Reconstructive Rearfoot and Traumatology Surgery.

Dr. Goswami is fully board certified with The American Board of Podiatric Medicine and holds certification in Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy for complex non-healing wounds.

During his free time, he volunteers as MEDIC for the Boston, Washington D.C., and the New York City marathon.  He also volunteers for Special Olympics. Dr. Goswami continues to follow his passion and remain up to date by participating in lectures and workshops to optimize his patient's healing potential.


Dr. Juliana Paternina

Juliana Paternina, DPM

Dr. Paternina graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, from Saint Peter’s University in Jersey City, NJ. While attending college and pursuing her long-term goal to become a physician, she worked in the medical administration field. She continued to be involved in her community, by volunteering in non-profit organizations and collaborating in the Union City Soccer Recreation program.

Dr. Paternina received her Doctorate Degree in Podiatric Medicine from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. She completed her residency at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ, a Level 2 Trauma center. She served as chief resident during her final year.

Throughout her residency she received extensive training in reconstructive surgery of complex foot and ankle deformities, including joint replacement of the foot and ankle, flatfoot, trauma, limb salvage, and advance training techniques in treating difficult wounds. In addition, her other areas of expertise include pediatrics, sports medicine, arthroscopy, cartilage transplantation, plastic surgery, dermatology, and general foot care.

Dr. Paternina has lectured nationally and internationally on many topics related to foot and ankle surgery. She has also presented multiple studies at national conferences.

Dr. Paternina has a heart for medical missions to help the underserved. She has volunteered on many occasions internationally to treat complex foot and ankle deformities, including trips to Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and Mexico. During podiatry school, she led a group of students to actively volunteer at a local homeless shelter in Philadelphia. She has also volunteered as a medic at the Boston marathon, Philadelphia Step out Walk To Stop Diabetes, and Rock and roll marathon.

She loves spending time with her family, and traveling around the world. She is an avid participant in indoor and outdoor cycling, kayaking, Zumba dancing and she is a big movie aficionado.
